The Bell! The Bell!
A massive fixed bell hangs in a wooden frame, its rim two feet above the
stone floor. Looking underneath, you see that the paving stone directly
beneath the centre of the bell has been smashed. Beside the bell a
horizontal wooden beam hangs from long ropes, swinging very slowly. The
end pointing toward the bell is faced with iron.
